The guiding principle of XpertImm is simple – we want to provide a safe, modern & innovative platform to Canada Immigration applicants looking to hire authorized representatives.
Only:
- Regulated Canada Immigration Consultants and Immigration Lawyers that
- meet the IRCC definition of authorized representatives AND
- are currently practicing in Canada,
- with an Active membership status from authorizing bodies qualify to list their services on XpertImm.
Each eligible Expert is then invited & personally reviewed by our core team prior to approval. We don’t stop insisting on high quality once an Expert is approved on the Platform. We validate each Expert’s license status on a monthly basis. We take unsatisfactory reviews and feedback from our Users very seriously. As a result, if the authorization status of a Professional changes or their verified reviews reflect a concerning pattern, we will investigate the situation and determine if the Professional can remain listed on XpertImm. Here’s some information on steps we take before (& after) listing a Professional on XpertImm.
Absolutely (in-fact we strongly recommend it!). There is often a misconception that Canada immigration consulting needs to be in-person. The fact is 100% of consultation can be performed through email, calls, virtual meetings, document sharing/signing websites and other channels.
Consumer protection against immigration fraud is also a big factor to consider. Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and the Citizenship Act requires anyone providing Canadian immigration or citizenship advice or representation for a fee or other consideration to be a member in good standing of ICCRC, a Canadian law society or the Chambre des notaires du Québec. These regulated professionals not only go through extensive education before they are authorized to consult clients, but they are also held accountable to strict Complaints & Disciplinary process through well-defined code of conduct, ethics & standards.
Based on ICCRC’s 2020 report, nearly 97% of all Regulated Immigration Consultants are based in Canada. So, outside of the remaining 3%, the ‘service providers’ outside Canada are likely to be individuals/companies that DO NOT meet Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and the Citizenship Act requirements to represent immigrants or to give Canada Immigration advice.

With XpertImm, finding a professional goes like this: Submit Inquiry > Receive Matches & Estimates > Select the best match for you
First, our online tool asks you specific questions about your needs. Second, we share your Inquiry with licensed immigration Expert. Third, we match you with upto 10 Experts that are interested in working with you . Once matched, you can review the profiles of your matched professionals, alongwith their process & estimates. You make the final decision on who to work with.
Our professionals are in good standing with their governing bodies (Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council, Canadian law society or the Chambre des notaires du Québec) and deliver a high standard of services.
Our process and technology greatly reduce the time and effort required to find a professional when you need them the most.
Once matched, we want you and your matches to connect and engage in discussions so that you can choose the best match for your needs… someone with whom you’d like to do business.
We use a mix of technology & human validation in this process. Our team reviews Inquiry submissions to filter out spammy, suspicious and poor quality submissions. Our technology then considers variables to match your specific need (provided by you in Inquiry form) with experts who have preference for those specific attributes (program, budget, consultation type, urgency, timezone etc) AND have confirmed their interest in your Inquiry. The more information you provide to us about your needs, the better the Responses you’ll receive from our Experts.
We want to ensure that we are matching you with the best professionals not just based on a match between your specific need and their expertise but also based on their interest in your submission. We will match you with upto 10 Experts who truly fit this criteria.
Most users will start receiving matches within the first 12 hours of Inquiry. It could take up-to 3 business days for all matched Experts to review and respond to your inquiry. If you have not received a response after 5 days, please contact us through live chat and we will review if your submission is missing any critical info that Experts need to assess your submission properly. We will only match you with professionals when there is a match between your specific needs and their preferences AND once they have shown interest in working with you. We don’t want to waste your time with matches that are less likely to be successful.
While we believe technology can reduce much of the headache, time, and effort in finding a professional when you need it most, the human to human connection is often where final decisions are made.
We want you and the interested Experts to connect and share some dialogue until you feel ready to engage further. Most people start it off with our private messaging system or by scheduling an appointment with the Expert using our Booking system.
Capping the matches at 10 gives you high quality options to consider. That said, you are able to close your Inquiry at any time.
By default your Inquiry is kept open for matches until 1) they reach 60 days OR, 2) you have received 10 matches OR, 3) you have requested to close it.
Our Experts are busy professionals who take time to review your Inquiry. The more you tell us the better our Experts can understand if their services meets your needs and you have higher chances of receiving good matches.

Once you select your best match, you are free to get to work with your professional. You can contact them via whatever form of communication is comfortable for you or agreed with the Expert.
